Another cool recent perk from Microsoft is the free Windows Live Writer. A very simple walk-through setup allows you to publish to a blog right from your desktop.
It especially is great for adding photos. WordPress has not been the easiest on photo options when they are added. Windows Live Writer gives many additional options for adding effects and customizations to pictures as demonstrated below. One can now change the color scheme, add rounded corners, add drop shadows, add reflections, tilt the picture and so much more. FYI – This is not a self portrait! =)
